Welcome to the 33rd issue of Magnetic Marketing. The newsletter that is no longer "Always Be Learning" but will still always be learning at the same time.
In case you missed yesterday's announcement (check your inbox), Always Be Learning has officially rebranded to Magnetic Marketing.
But the list of changes stops there. You can still expect 1 marketing breakdown delivered to your inbox every Thursday. Business as usual.
With that out of the way... let's get into today's issue.

Friend of the program:
Trends is the best subscription I've ever signed up for. It's so good, that I decided to run their sponsored ad 3 weeks in a row in this newsletter (something I've never done before).
I'm confident you'll love Trends if you're a fan of this newsletter. Start getting more business ideas today and give them a look by clicking below.
Today's Marketing Breakdown:
The first breakdown under the brand of Magnetic Marketing means I gotta come with something good...
So today I'm going to share one of the coolest website tricks I've ever learned.
I picked this up from Neville Medhora when I took his copywriting course last year. During the course, he shared this quick 3-step trick to edit any webpage.
All you have to do is bookmark the line of javascript he includes in this article.
Here's what it'll look like in Google Chrome:
This bookmark allows you to make copy changes to any live website to play around with different headlines, subheaders, body copy, etc.
Here's a quick use case:
Let's take this homepage section from Casper and play around with the copy. Below is a screenshot of the current page.
I've highlighted my bookmarked javascript in red and then the copy I want to change on the homepage: "2,000,000+ happy sleepers"
Simply click the bookmark and start typing like any text editor to edit the page. Below is a screenshot of me editing that red-boxed section in real-time.
And here's a final version of a potential headline they could try:
You can see that the text editor keeps the same font, size, etc. So this is a great trick if you're just looking to test out different copy to see how it looks/fits.
Bottom Line:
The formatting can be a little finicky sometimes depending on the site, but this is a great way to get your copy ideas into action fast.
It's a great tool for pitching your copywriting skills as a consultant or even for a job interview (do the job before you get the job)!
When you're done playing around with your copy, refresh the page to revert to normal. Rinse and repeat as many times as you want.
There you have it! 1 marketing tip to help grow your business.
Here's one other marketing nugget for this week:
It feels fitting to include this thread in today's issue. It includes 9 examples of how I used the text-editing javascript above to draft up fake homepages for some popular brands.
Worked well as a nice piece of content and was a ton of fun to write!
If businesses kept it real with their headline copy (9 examples): 👇
