According to smartinsights.com, the overall average across all industries for email open rates and click rates is 29.55% and 1.27%, respectively.

Pretty solid numbers.

I thought these numbers were good, too... until I tested my first quiz funnel.

These are the stats on the first email of our welcome quiz funnel, which promotes a Buy 1, Get 1 Free offer 👇

32% click rate??? I need some air!

I had high expectations for the quiz funnel, but this blew my expectations out of the water.

To provide further context, these are the stats from our normal welcome email that all other prospects receive:

I would generally take these stats any day of the week...

But now that I know about the power of the quiz funnel, I can never un-see those stats.

Here's the entire flow in 4 steps:

  1. The prospect comes to our site and takes a 3-question quiz to learn which beard products are right for them.

  2. The prospect enters their email address to claim their free item offer and get their results.

  3. We show the results on screen and deliver the offer via email.

  4. The prospect uses the coupon from email and places their order.

And boom goes the dynamite.

By now, you're probably wondering, "what does the content of the email look like?"
